“Dogs are man’s best friend.” That saying is indeed true. Dogs are loyal companions who protect our families from danger. Many of them have risked their lives in doing so, such as this brave Doberman.
An unnamed Doberman has done such a heroic deed after he saved his family of 8 from being killed by 4 deadly cobras.
The incident happened when mountain snakes tried to sneak into the home of Dibakar Raita of Sebekapur Village in Raygada, Gajapati, India. The dog was guarding the entrance of their home when the snakes slithered in.
The dog bravely attacked the snakes for hours and killed all of them. Sadly, the loyal pet suffered numerous snake bites and didn’t survive.
The dog was a new pet that Dibakar bought only a few months ago. “I’m shocked. He has made the supreme sacrifice for me and my family. I will remember him till our death. I pray God – May his soul rest in peace,” he said.
News of the dog’s heroic deed spread around the village. People from nearby towns rushed to the village to offer flowers and even held a funeral procession for the loyal hero. Animal lovers around the world have sent condolences to the family after the story of the heroic Doberman went viral online.
